Welcome to the new look qwin.co.uk!
It’s been a while since I have posted on here. I am slowly making my way through my 3rd year at Ravensbourne College, learning all about how to write scripts fro dramas and documentaries.
I went to South Africa over Christmas and New Year and you can see the photos online here and here
Also, a couple of points about Rave On Air 2009 this year. You can see all of the information at www.raveonair.com and you can follow all of the updates in twitter
A few photos from the big family wedding of the year ‘Oliver and Annabel’, held in the most amazing location I have ever laid my eyes on for a wedding!!!
Click on any of the pictures to see them bigger.
See all of the photos on my flickr gallery here
The Apple Mac music video created by dennisaliu who has made a fantastic video using a variety of differnet applications in leopard, hard to explain, so take a look.
You can see their profile on youtube here
Thats right, Spore has finally been released after 3 years of being in the making!!! I’ve ordered my copy, and you can preload it to your computer, it activates on the 5th of september 2008.
My copy should arrive on friday (tomorrow), really want to see if it is still going to live up to expectations. I shall let you know when I have installed it.
You can see more information on their website, www.spore.com
You can also pre-order the game from amazon

So,
I have a few new images to add to my collection here on my blog. I had a great time in august month celebrating my 20th birthday in norfolk with Harry, Rob and Chloe. We had a great time, drinking, going to the beach and sailing. It was a week to remember!!

I also went to V festival in Chelmsford with Ollie and Fran and her mates, got to see, Muse, Amy Winehouse, The Verve, Stereophonics and some other awesome bands. Managed to get hold of a hospitality ticket too…

The Sony EX3 Camcorder:
It just wants to be bought! There are a variety of features, including a few 0.5-inch CCDs with Full HD (1,920 x 1,080) resolution, native 24p support, XDCAM HD EX recording on dual SxS cards, HD-SDI output, USB / 4-pin FireWire sockets and an optional 60GB disk recorder that plugs in via a SxS slot. Although you will roll up a bill of almost £7,500 if you get your hands on one.

I hope you like the newly created design, I shall be creating a few more “easy to navigate” features over the next few weeks.
God it’s been a long time since I posted on here, check out Rave on Air 2008. This year my role was to direct the link show, a T4 style show that runs throughout the day introducing all the programmes and content. It also went out LIVE over the internet and on our own freeview channel across Chislehurst and Bromley.
Here is a video that I had commissioned for the link show to sum up the whole day.
And here are some pictures of the day…
It’s been a long time since I added to this blog, but there is a reason for this. Soo much has happened since my last post, most of the time I have been chilling out and relaxing.
Another trip with some of the guys from Ravensbourne was to Center Parks in Longleat, it was a three hour drive there and back, some of the pics from our trip I have posted below. on the way back I broke down about 10 minutes from home which was seriously frustrating, know that I had to be at work early next morning and it was already 11 at night, so had to call the AAA who patched up the old citroen so I could get home.
More stuff to come soon, as Rave on Air is fast approaching so, I shall be keeping my updates on here as part of my course, for now here are a few pics from our trip to Longleat:

The Video for the Stage by Stage is soon to follow as soon as they have been received from the editor,
but as I was sound mixer for the show on Monday I thought I might as well post something a little different.
This is the Mix from Monday’s shoot. We prerecorded the girls all singing with the Keyboard so that they didn’t have to dance and sing at the same time, which would have been almost impossible to achieve as they would have been moving to much.
I used a Sure VP88 Stereo Mic to record the singers, which I positioned around the Microphone in a semi-circle, then added some Reverb so it didn’t sound to dry, A friend of mine observed the mic and described it as Ugly, I replied with ‘But it sure makes a great sound’. See what you think!
These MP3’s are scaled down from the original WAV files but they are still in Stereo (320kps) so you can still get the full effect.
